Consumer Law is a set of rules established to protect the economic interests of consumers. Natural or legal persons acting without commercial or professional purpose are called consumers. With the Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers; installment sales, consumer loans, prepaid housing sales, distance sales via telephone or internet, timeshare contracts, timeshare vacation contracts and subscription contracts are considered as consumer transactions. However, Law No. 6502 does not subject consumer transactions to the limited number of transactions listed in the law, and includes all goods and service contracts where one party is a consumer and the other party is a seller or service provider within the scope of the law by considering them as consumer transactions.
